The year’s NAIDOC Week 2023 theme is \u2018For Our Elders\u2019, reflecting the important role that elders play in the lives of First Nations Australians.<\/p>\n

NAIDOC Week is an excellent opportunity for teachers, parents, and caregivers to help kids learn more about this significant national event. Teaching children about NAIDOC Week through creative activities can help them understand First Nations peoples, as well as their communities’ achievements and contributions. Not only is this an important part of Australian history, but learning about First Nations peoples and their cultures can help your class to be more respectful and inclusive to First Nations peoples, both inside and outside of the school environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
