In 2024, NAPLAN will continue to play an important role in shaping the nation&#8217;s educational landscape. Due to its rigorous preparation, delivery, and reporting, NAPLAN provides a key snapshot into how Australian schoolchildren are developing, with the ability to make comparisons at an individual, school, and national level. In 2024, the test window will begin on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 and end on Monday, March 25, 2024. The <\/span><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\" data-contrast=\"none\">PISA test<\/span><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\" data-contrast=\"none\">, an OECD initiative, is undertaken by 15 year olds around the world, providing a way to measure progress in reading, writing, and scientific literacy. Despite the\u00a0books you can buy and\u00a0NAPLAN\u00a0practice tests online,\u00a0the aim of the test is to show a student\u2019s general capabilities at a specific point in time\u2014nothing more.\u00a0Despite study not being necessary,\u00a0ACARA does recommend test\u00a0familiarisation\u00a0in terms of both the questions and the format of NAPLAN online.\u00a0A simulated test environment with some example questions can be found on the ACARA website (link\u00a0provided\u00a0in the section\u00a0Where to get important NAPLAN info).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-065c91f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"065c91f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h1>How is Performance Reported?<\/h1><p>From 2023 onwards, NAPLAN results will be reported against proficiency standards. Each assessment area has its own standard at each year level. Proficiency standards provide clear information about student achievement. They are set at a challenging but reasonable level for the child to achieve during NAPLAN testing, based primarily on what has been taught in previous years of schooling.
