In Australia, approximately 76 million tonnes (Mt) of waste are generated annually, equivalent to about 2.95 tonnes per person, underscoring the urgency for both individuals and companies to adopt greener practices. A recent study conducted by COS surveyed over 1,000 Australian employees, revealing that 66% express a desire for their companies to prioritize recycling or waste reduction efforts, while 74% consider regular recycling as the most impactful action for the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the findings, Co-CEO of COS, Belinda Lyone says, \u201cAustralia\u2019s recycling rate currently sits stagnant at 60%, but this study highlights how many employees actually want to recycle more but are lacking the tools to do so in the office.
