Barriers cited by respondents included limited access to influential networks, uneven visibility with leaders, and unclear pathways to progression. Many women also noted that parenting responsibilities can impact career momentum and engagement. The study suggests that without meaningful change, one in three women under 40 may consider leaving their organisation.
COS Co-CEOs Belinda and Amie Lyone provide a practical example, leading an executive team with over 50% women and 45% of management roles held by women. The research underscores that achieving equality requires deliberate systems, transparency, and committed leadership.
