In a recent article by Inside Small Business, COS Co-CEO Belinda Lyone explained how workplace inequality can build over time through unclear promotion pathways, informal networks and caregiving pressures affecting women. She highlighted that gender inequality continues to impact women’s access to career progression and equal opportunities in the workplace.
A recent study commissioned by COS demonstrates this inequality, finding that 81% of women believe they need to work harder than men to access the same opportunities, while only 56% believe they have equal opportunities to reach senior leadership positions.
