1. WORLD PEACE DAY WORKSHEET: LANTERN
The World Peace Day Lantern Worksheet gives children the opportunity to create a colourful lantern filled with meaningful symbols and messages. As they colour the different sections, children can explore ideas such as love, peace, caring for others, our planet and unity.
Materials Needed:
- Printed World Peace Day Lantern worksheet
- Scissors
- Coloured pencils, crayons, or coloured markers
- Glue stick or craft glue
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Colour the Worksheet
Colour the lantern panels, including the Love, Peace, Earth, Children, Leaves and Star icons. Add colour to the handles to complete your lantern!
2. Cut Out the Lantern
Carefully cut around the outer solid lines of the lantern template.
3. Cut Out the Handles
Cut out the two long handle strips along the dashed outer lines.
4. Fold the Lantern
Fold along all the dashed fold lines to create the sides and flaps of the lantern.
5. Glue the Lantern Together
Apply glue to the tabs and fold them inward to join the lantern into its 3D shape. Press gently until the glue is secure.
6. Make the Handles
Fold each handle strip along the dashed lines and glue the ends to the inside of the lantern on opposite sides.
7. Display Your Lantern
Once dry, gently open and shape the lantern. Hang or display it as a reminder that peace, kindness and love can bring us together.

2. WORLD PEACE DAY WORKSHEET: BUNTING
The World Peace Day Bunting is a bright and creative activity that children can colour, cut out and assemble into a festive classroom decoration. Each flag adds colour to the display while helping create a shared message celebrating peace, kindness and togetherness.
Materials Needed:
- Printed World Peace Day Bunting worksheet
- Scissors
- Coloured pencils, crayons, or coloured markers
- Hole punch
- Glue stick or craft glue
- String, cord, or ribbon
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Download and Print
Download the World Peace Day bunting worksheet and print it on A4 paper or cardstock.
2. Colour and Decorate
Use bright colours, pencils, crayons, or markers to colour each bunting flag.
3. Cut Out the Flags
Carefully cut around each bunting flag, following the outer solid lines. Take your time to keep the edges neat.
4. Punch the Hanging Holes
Carefully punch out the small holes or slots at the top of each flag. These will be used to attach the flags to your string or ribbon.
5. Arrange the Flags
Lay all your flags out on a table and arrange them in your preferred order.
6. Attach the Flags

The World Peace Day Banner is another fun way for children to share a powerful message. By colouring and assembling the banner pieces to spell PEACE DAY, children can create a meaningful decoration that can be displayed around the classroom or activity area.

- Printed World Peace Day Banner worksheet
- Scissors
- Coloured pencils, crayons, or coloured markers
- Glue stick or craft glue
- Hole punch
- String, cord, or ribbon
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Get Your Worksheet Ready
Download and print the World Peace Day banner template on A4 paper or cardstock.
2. Add Some Colour
Bring each banner piece to life using pencils, crayons, or markers.
3. Cut Along the Lines
Carefully cut out each banner piece by following the solid outline. Try to keep the edges neat and smooth.
4. Spell Out the Message
Lay the pieces out and arrange them so they spell PEACE DAY. Make sure each letter is in the correct position and facing the right direction.
5. Make the Holes
Using a hole punch, make a hole through each marked circle at the top of the banner pieces.
