Teacher Aide Appreciation Week is a special opportunity for school communities across Australia to recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution of teacher aides and support staff. From supporting students’ learning and wellbeing to creating inclusive and welcoming classrooms, teacher aides play an important role in helping every student feel supported, included and valued.
This year, Teacher Aide Appreciation Week takes place from Monday, 31 August to Friday, 4 September 2026. It’s the perfect time for students and staff to say thank you and show appreciation for the people who make a difference every day.
To celebrate Teacher Aide Appreciation Week 2026, we have created two fun and meaningful worksheets to help students show their appreciation for the teacher aides who support them every day.
Worksheet 1 – Thank You Letter 💌
Students can colour, decorate and complete a special thank-you letter for their teacher aide. It gives students the opportunity to share kind words and let their teacher aide know how much their support is appreciated.
Worksheet 2 – Thank You Envelope ✉️
Students can colour, cut, fold and paste their own envelope to hold their special letter. This hands-on activity makes the appreciation message more personal and gives students a fun way to create something they can give to their teacher aide.
Together, the worksheets encourage creativity, kindness and gratitude, while helping students recognise the important role teacher aides play in their school community.
